A new section of the pipeline laid in a trench parallel to the current MNP.
Irkutsk, November 6 – IA Neftegaz.RU.Transneft Western Siberia put into operation after the reconstruction of the section of the trunk pipeline (MNP) Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk on the territory of Nizhneingashskiy district of Krasnoyarsk region.
This was announced by Transneft.
Reconstruction of a length of 20.8 km was conducted in October 2019 under the programme of technical re-equipment, reconstruction and major repairs of objects of Transneft Western Siberia.
Goal – improving the reliability of MNP.

The estimated lifespan of more than 30 years.
To ensure a high level of industrial safety were used, the pipe strength class К56, designed for operation at low temperatures and is able to withstand a working pressure of 7.4 MPa or higher.
The thickness of the pipe wall from 12 to 16 mm.
Factory 3-layer polyethylene coated pipe will minimize the impact of corrosion processes.
As part of the renovation experts performed installation of 2x block valve stations with the installation of earthquake resistant gate valves with electric.
Along with gate valves were equipped wells selection pressure and sealed wells for underground shelters of the plunger.
Plungers are used for intake – air release operations for filling and emptying the pipeline when carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
Upon completion of construction and installation work and before commissioning you have verified the condition of the insulation coating of the reconstructed site, hydraulic tests, carried out inspection of geometrical parameters of the pipeline.
Based on the test results no deviations were detected.
The reconstructed section of the MNP Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk commissioned and is operating normally.
