Mishustin and Medvedev agreed on the social orientation of the budget

The head of the Russian Cabinet Mikhail Mishustin discussed with the Deputy head of the security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev the preparation of the new draft three-year budget for 2021 and for the planning period in 2022 and 2023 years. Politicians agreed that the document should retain a social orientation. In addition, according to the authorities, the state is obliged to ensure the implementation of “national development goals formulated by the President”.

The state Duma will also consider three draft laws on the indexation of pensions to working pensioners. MPs can unite all initiatives and take them into account when adopting the budget for 2021. The author of one of the variants of bills Senator Vasily Ikonnikov has declared that from-for absence of indexation up to 5 million pensioners abandoned formal employment.
