Minsitry will consider the possibility of creating a reference data centers in the Arctic

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko also instructed to transfer public services to the residents of the Arctic in digital form by 2022


Moscow, 10 Nov – IA Neftegaz.RU. Ministry for digital development should consider the creation of the Arctic zone, the support of data processing centers (DPC).


This order of Minsitry gave Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.



The Vice Prime Minister said during the visiting session of the Council for the development of the digital economy under the Council of Federation in Murmansk.


Dmitry Chernyshenko also instructed to transfer public services to the residents of the Arctic in digital form by 2022


In September, he asked the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to determine the date of completion of transfer of all goservices on the portal of public services the end of 2022,



Vice Prime Minister noted that in the Arctic territories there are excellent opportunities for the efficient operation of data centers.


No need to spend money on cooling, and this will provide up to 40 percent of the estimated savings in the operation of such data centers.



Dmitry Chernyshenko said that Russia in this market is not very impressive, but there is every opportunity to become a leader.
