El Waha resumes oil production at the field As-Samah in Libya

The company will start development on this asset after 9-month break

Tripoli, Nov 4 – IA Neftegaz.RU. Company al-Waha (Waha Oil Company) will resume the production activities in the oil field As-Samah, located South-East of Sirte.
This was reported by the news Agency 218 TV.

Recall, the recovery of production and export of oil in Libya has occurred after the signing of 18 September 2020 of an agreement between the commander of the LDF field Marshal H. Haftarot and the Deputy head of the national consensus Government A. Mitiga.

So, on 12 October 2020 NOC has lifted the state of force majeure on the country’s largest oil field El Sharara.

Then, on 19 October 2020, it became known about the plans for the imminent launch of Deposit Abu Attifel.

26 Oct 2020 NOC announced the restoration of production from all the fields of the country and the resumption of the operation of all terminals.

Production in the North African country has already reached 800 thousand Barr./day.

In the period from 29 to 31 October 2020, the increase amounted to about 100 thousand barrels.

In January 2020, to the blockade of the oil infrastructure, oil production in Libya amounted to 1.2 million barrels/day, and in early September 2020, it did not exceed 100 thousand Barr./day.
